Im Dezember 2011 hat das legendäre österreichische Wirtschaftsmagazin "Cash Flow" eine Ausgabe zum 25. Jubiläum herausgebracht. Einen tragenden Anteil daran hatte eine siebenseitige Story über den aktuellen Kunstmarkt mit Schwerpunkt auf Österreich und seine Metropole Wien.

Erste internationale Aufmerksamkeit erhielt DAS INSTITUT mit seiner Ausstellung im Swiss Institute, New York (2009) und Ausstellungsbeteiligungen im New Museum, New York (2009) und im PS1/ MoMA , New York (2010). Im vergangenen Jahr 2011 hat das Künstlerduo dann eine sagenhafte Karriere hingelegt, insbesondere durch Soloshows im Kölnischen Kunstverein, in der Kunsthalle Zürich und die Beteiligung an der Biennale von Venedig.

Following the deliberations of the Contemporary Drawing Prize's committee, the Daniel & Florence Guerlain Foundation has announced the names of the three selected artists for the 2012 award.
Book Works has developed a new website and digital archive that now includes material ranging from finished works to ephemera, correspondence, photographs and manuscripts providing an insight into the working processes of both the publishing and studio sections of the organisation.

In April the Board of the Founders of Fondazione Museion confirmed Letizia Ragaglia as director of the museum for the next four years. Curator at various institutions, Ragaglia (1969, I), who is specialised in museology and contemporary art, with a particular focus on art in public spaces, has been heading Museion since 2008.
Auf der Pariser Kunstmesse Fiac wurde letzten Samstag der 1977 in Rumänien geborene Künstler Mircea Cantor mit dem Prix Marcel Duchamp ausgezeichnet.
Der 1973 in Holbæk (Dänemark) geborene und in Berlin tätige Künstler Tue Greenfort erhält den GASAG Kunstpreis 2012. Die Auszeichnung wird im kommenden Jahr zum zweiten Mal in Kooperation mit der Berlinischen Galerie vergeben. Die Partner ehren mit dem Preis alle zwei Jahre eine künstlerische Position an der Schnittstelle von Kunst, Wissenschaft und Technik.
