Constantin Brancusi & Richard Serra

 The summer exhibition at the Fondation Beyeler is devoted to the oeuvres of the sculptors Constantin Brancusi (1876-1957) and Richard Serra (b. 1939). The sensuous forms of Brancusi’s poetic sculptures in marble, bronze, wood and plaster will be juxtaposed with Serra’s minimalistic steel sculptures. Traits shared in common and fascinating contrasts will come to light, conveying the dynamic force unfolded by sculptures in space. On view will be famous pieces by Brancusi, such as The Kiss, the Muses and Birds, as well as key works by Serra.
