Following its exhibition Best Kept Secret: UCI and the Development of Contemporary Art in Southern California, 1964-1971, Laguna Art Museum continues in the subject of Pacific Standard Time: Art in L.A. 1945-1980, an initiative of the Getty exploring art in Southern California from 1945 to 1980. The museum will explore its own permanent collection to reveal important works in that time period. In addition to artists who were featured in exhibitions throughout Southern California, the museum will also look at artists that may have been overlooked in this ambitious initiative.
