Was Harald Aars right when he wrote in Norges kunsthistorie (Norwegian Art History) from 1927 that «it was via Stockholm that Norwegian architects found their way back home to themselves»?
From 1900 to 1910 there were many young Norwegians in Stockholm, among them Arnstein Arneberg , Andreas H. Bjercke , Georg Eliassen and Magnus Poulsson . Studies at KTH Royal Institute of Technology form a legendary part of the history of Norwegian architecture during the early 20th century. How many actually travelled to Stockholm? What did they do while they were there? And where did they establish themselves when they returned to Kristiania (Oslo)_
The exhibition presents works from the collection.
