
Carnegie Museum of Art presents a retrospective of the work of African American photojournalist Charles Teenie Harris (19081998). This exhibition preserves, showcases, and promotes Harriss remarkable work, which The New York Times called breathtaking in scope. Featuring Harriss greatest images of life in Pittsburghs African American communities from the 1930s through the 1970s, Teenie Harris , Photographer: An American Story includes a multimedia presentation, prints, and a variety of educational resources.
