Tate Liverpool presents Turner Monet Twombly, an exhibition of paintings by some of the most prolific and well-known artists of the 20th century.
Including over 70 works, our groundbreaking exhibition will display artworks by J.M.W. Turner (17751851), Claude Monet (18401926) and Cy Twombly (b.1928) and explore the similarities between these artists in style, subject and artistic motivation.
Turners compelling, atmospheric works will be exhibited alongside the beautiful and emotive art of Monet, whilst Twomblys original contemporary style adds a fresh and exciting dimension to the exhibition. Highlights will include some of Monets fabulous Water Lilies and Turners much loved romantic landscapes. Twomblys recent paintings of blooms will also be displayed, shown in the UK for the first time.
For those already familiar with the artists work, this exhibition will be a revelation; for new audiences, it is a fascinating introduction.
