From its inception in 1982, Altair Gallery has had as its goal the promotion and difusion of international contemporary art, with special emphasis on the new generation of artists. Altair takes part or has participated in most of the better known international art fairs such as Arco, Arte Lisboa, Artissima, ArtMiami Art Cologne, Art Shanghai and ArtChicago.

In 2002 Altair moved to a new space in a small 13th.c palace. Well known and established artists are now shown as well as the up and coming generations with their multiple forms of expression.
