Profil

Founded in 1985 in Cracow during the struggle for freedom of underground Solidarity, as a private, independent institution of culture. Exhibitions were held in the attic of a private property, over the door hung an old bumper car. Gallery acted beyond censorship, in opposition both to the official circulation of art controlled by the then communist regime and the second circuit firmowanego by the Catholic Church. Independent attitude marks the gallery are its name and logo.

Since 1989, Bumper is the shopping center, owned by a Martin Tarabula.
