Profil
Since its opening in 1962, Galerie A lice Pauli is twofold. This has been the one hand, to demonstrate its commitment to a certain artistic heritage and secondly, it has never relinquished its mission to discover new talent and then ensure their promotion in Switzerland outside the borders, the work on the influence of the work is carried out mainly at international fairs (Basel and Paris) and also collaborating with many museums in Switzerland and abroad.
The Gallery has forged its identity in the sixties with artists little or no exposure in Switzerland at that time: Magdalena Abakanowicz, Julius Bissier Roger Bissiere, Jean Dubuffet , Sam Francis, Jean Lecoultre, Alicia Penalba, Emil Schumacher , Louis Soutter , Arpad Szenes, Tapies, Mark Tobey and Vieira da Silva, etc. ...
For the gallery, these artists embody references, which later were complemented by the presence of Pierre Soulages , Louise Nevelson , Jim Dine , Jaume Plensa , Giuseppe Penone , James Brown , Philip Axe, Monique Frydman, Christian Lapie Nunzio Flavio Paolucci, Jean-Pierre Pincemin, Anne and Patrick Poirier, Yang Jie-Chang et al.
Because of its geographical location, the Gallery has always been concerned to be surrounded by Swiss artists - painters and sculptors - and young international designers. The coexistence of artists of different generations and diverse expressions are the salt of the mission pursued by the Gallery; being traffickers images, messengers between the human creation and the public.
