As Finland´s and one of Scandinavia´s most important international galleries, Galerie Forsblom is located in the heart of Helsinki where it operates since 1997 in two spaces one larger space devoted to important shows of international artists and prime Finnish artists and a street level space presenting "spontaneous" project shows, small introductory shows for international artists not yet well known in Finland as well as shows for emerging Finnish artists.

Gallery Director Kaj Forsblom, started his first gallery in 1977. He has curated major restrospectives and other important exhibitions including shows for Nam June Paik, Anish Kapoor, Jim Dine, A.R. Penck, Juan Hernandez Pijuan for Finnish museums and Kunsthalle spaces and presented his gallery at major international art fairs. He is joined at the gallery in 2004 by his son Director Frej Forsblom, who came from running his own gallery in Turku, Finland.
