Profil
Galleria Massimo De Carlo was founded 1987. Immediately distinguishes the art scene for some courageous decisions and counter: give space to artists little known in Italy as John Armleder, Olivier Mosset , Steven Parrino and Carsten Höller at the time was certainly a gamble.
The first site was via Panfilo Castaldi, then in 1992 moved to Via Bocconi. In 1998 he opened a space in Viale Corsica, reaching in 2003 the present location in Via Ventura, 5.
Always the Galleria Massimo De Carlo has supported the work of Italian artists to European and international public and at the same time has promoted foreign artists in Italy, creating and maintaining fruitful dialogue with the most prestigious national and international museums, and fostered relationships between galleries, critics, curators and collectors.
Over the years artists of the Galleria Massimo De Carlo, including Maurizio Cattelan , Rudolf Stingel , Piotr Uklanski , Diego Perrone , Paola Pivi and Roberto Cuoghi have received major awards worldwide, participating in exhibitions in qualifying galleries, museums, foundations, biennials, and earning a prominent place in important public and private collections.
