Talbot Rice Gallery is the public art gallery of The University of Edinburgh.
Established in 1975, it is named after David Talbot Rice, Professor of Fine Art (1934 - 1972). Talbot Rice Gallery is one of Scotland's leading public galleries of contemporary visual art. Rooted in an academic situation, the gallery plays a key role in the cultural life of the city, drawing a local, national and international audience to a dynamic programme of exhibitions and events.
The White Gallery
The White Gallery is the main exhibition space at Talbot Rice; it's scale and architecture provide an inspirational venue to view a changing programme of exhibitions. The gallery has a commitment to presenting the work of contemporary Scottish and International artists through solo, retrospective, and thematic exhibitions.
