Team opened in the Chelsea arts district in 1996, one of the first dozen to open in that neighborhood. Ten years later, the gallery moved to 83 Grand Street in Soho where it occupies a 5,000 square foot ground floor space. The gallery's exhibitions and artists have been reviewed in every major art, lifestyle, listings and fashion publication.

Along with young Americans such as Cory Arcangel , Slater Bradley and Banks Violette , the gallery represents a roster of emerging artists from Denmark, Japan, France, Norway, England and Germany. Team shares artists with an ever-expanding network of internationally respected galleries. In recent years, artists of the gallery have had numerous solo museum exhibitions.

The gallery has participated in Art Basel Miami Beach , Liste, The Armory show, Frieze Art Fair and ARCO Madrid. This will be the 4th time that Team Gallery has participate in the Basel Art Fair - with one Statements and Art Unlimited project at Basel 32, one Statements and one Art Unlimited project at Basel 33 and One Art Statements and one Art Unlimited Project at Basel 37.
