ProfilVon Bartha Garage The most recent house of von Bartha was opened in 2008. Most of the gallery's activities take place here. The garage was built, as the name suggests, into a former car repair shop. Over 700 sqm of exhibition space accommodate up to five contemporary exhibitions a year. In addition, the Garage hosts eight to ten events for selected projects a year. The Garage can be visited during opening hours or on request. The Collection is the headquarter of von Bartha Gallery. Opened in 1970, the urban villa, located in the heart of Basel, accommodates part of the private collection. This is where numerous of the gallery's most important exhibitions have taken place, which have established von Bartha in the avant-garde of Basel's art scene. In addition, twice a year, the Collection hosts exhibitions which concentrate on up-to-date special subjects of the arts. The Collection can be visited on request. Von Bartha Chesa The unique von Bartha Chesa is located in the barn of an old patrician house in S-chanf. Opened in 2006, the White Cube in the midst of the Engadine Alps is a space at the disposal of the selected artists. Two to three times a year, an artist gets the opportunity to intervene in the Chesa. The entire exhibition is organized by the artist. On request, the neighboring patrician house can be visited to see the exhibition of works from the gallery's past program.
