Kristina Braein

kristina braeing is an artist who lives and works in oslo, norway. her work involves the combination of wall paintings with found and everyday objects. she incorporates these materials into a context which representsonly a slight shift from their original context. the results are large,  three-dimensional installations which seem quite random, but reminiscent of what a decorator or a handyman might have accidentally left behind on a work-site. also included in this exhibition are works by florian meisenberg asnd francis upritchard.

Statement
To me a room is never empty. In its bare form it already consists of a lot of elements and an atmosphere to be aware of. In my work I try to create a dialogue with this given space. I mostly use materials related to the domestic zone or leftovers from everyday life; it could be anything that catches my eye at home or in my studio. To give unpretencios objects a huge luxurious space,is one way for me to discuss the value of things.
