| Adrian Schiess' "flat work" which he produces since 1987 and for several years, "painting" is called, have become a trademark and were often misinterpreted in the discourse of art as a short review to monochrome painting and concrete art. Rather, they are fragments of large project, "painting" that is "always busy with images, internal and external, image, representation, space, time, place, space, sensitivities, surface, appearance, gloss, realities" (Adrian Schiess) . He developed his painting on wood, paper, aluminum, in videos and photographs on any type approach in image-makers in any technology. Since 1995 he has worked hard on compressed images duplicated material to concentrate dispersing painting the panels in small packages on the wall and to explicitly point to the classical image-makers.
