| Benjamin Bergmann made from 1991 to 1994 a study as a wood scuptor and then studied until 2001 at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, among others at Asta Gröting. He was one of the 1997-2001 performance group "GMAM" 1999-2001 and the music / performance group "Club le Bomb". Bergmann creates large, room-filling installations, many of them in public places. His works are performative, they hover between the real and artificial world. In Munich he created in 2005 to an entrance of the tunnel by the tunnel opening as architecturally imposing facade installation doubled and thus relieved of their purely factual determination. He turned this way "in a place that invites you to relax and to physically experience and be experienced." As an artist, been active miner at his work not only as an architect, designer and craftsman, but sometimes also with some stage-like installations as a director and performers of small happenings, which he benefited from the experience from his time in the performance groups. For the stair foyer of the Munich Pinakothek der Moderne hung Bergmann 2008, hundreds of baskets at the museum's ceiling, all filled with clothes that could be let down with ropes. That with "deep down tag hell" titled work was to make the visitors aware of the existence of a hidden world in which it recalled the mining usual hanging coat racks. For the Berlin Palace of the Republic, he created the roller coaster construction, "head over heels" and for the Munich Lenbachhaus 2006 he created an oversized megaphone accessible, surrounded by a wooden structure. Lamps changed at night the sculpture in a luminous body, heard in the interior of every hour a bass note.
