| In his work of subordinates Bjørn Melhus popular artists, especially American media and its reception by an increasingly commercialized society a process of reflection, deconstruction and reorganization. The film and pop culture television justified Melhus borrowed the characters of his works, which he himself embodies myths of media awareness question. By THE Meadow Melhus ties in the broadest sense of the final scene of his film AUTO CENTER DRIVE (2003), in which the main character Jimmy in a driverless car with the picture so the horizon and an uncertain future travels. THE Meadow is a moving psychological profile of the shutdown, in the form of an endless night trip, during which the protagonist repeatedly to excursions into the forest, locating to, according to various confrontations, very quickly into the dubious protection of the car to return. THE Meadow attempts in the deconstruction and recontextualization of American cinema is a picture of the myths oppressive as hopeless state of fear to draw and thus forms the starting point of the trilogy, the difference in anxiety and threat scenarios illuminates.
