| David Lamelas is since the 60s known as one of the most important representative of a conceptual art.Especially his early structuralist films and media installations, during his stay in Belgium, London and Los Angeles in the 60s and 70s, are proof of a specific individual dealing with time and space. In his projects, Lamelas deals impressively with the question of the limits of the temporality of art and their ability to produce alternative communication and recognition processes. Lamelas interest expressed in a concept of art, which he is not locally or nationally, but immaterial defined. In parallel with his film works incurred architectural and spatial interventions investigated in almost visionary way, the relations of space, time and location. Again, there is not room in geographical dimensions measured, but only among intellectual and transnational dimensions considered. (Source: Secession, Vienna).
