| Dirk Bell's paintings, drawings and collages refer in their ephemeral appearance on formal models such as the Symbolists, William Blake, Leonardo da Vinci's drawings. They appear in almost plated dimensions to the old idea of art to appeal as a dream world. Bell aims for very consciously on form and content references that appear first as a faux pas. Bell happy to complement its exhibitions by objects such as paintings found at the flea market or T-shirts that do not allow the elevation references its contents, but they integrate into an ordinary box, pop cultural references.
