| A body in space - straight lines, smooth surfaces. The effect: clear, cool, geometrically determined. An artist, but also an art critic and philosopher: Donald Judd in 1928 in Excelsior Springs (USA) and verstart born in 1994 in New York.
A bit like a rock in the surf Judds are sculptures in the middle of the room or as a mural on the wall affixed. They seem unimpressed by the environment in their geometry, but they reflect back. As space in the room, sometimes open, sometimes closed, a game from inside and outside. The sculptures are mostly rectangular cubes and the materials from plywood, plexiglass, metal, concrete but also in different monochrome color. Strictly geometrical, objective, exacting detail and in a perfection that is sometimes almost inaccessible acts, they are a main focus.
