His "German Unity Transport Projects" were such a series, they made him famous. When he practiced the same method in 2002 in California, many Americans reacted piqued - Germany is ugly, but America? At the initiative of curator Mikiko Kikuta spent Hans-Christian Schink earlier this year, several weeks in the Niigata Prefecture, to photograph for the long-term project "European Eyes on Japan". A selection of work created there will be presented this summer at the Contemporary Art Center in Vilnius (Lithuania), then Erfurt in our gallery and in the fall in the gallery of the city of Wels (Austria).
