| Jan Fabre, visual artist, playwright, director, is one of the most unusual double artistic talents in theater and art world. Always on the border between day and night, changing between reality and dream, he creates charming images at the same time in the "Garden of Delights" and the guard rooms of medieval tableaux a Hieronymus Bosch at home and the cold horror of a Duchamp ready-made idea of object-oriented world possess. His bizarre mixtures of animal and Menschmetamorphosen, strong auto erotic moment of the complex installations and gear borrowed from experienced and pictures show a world with traditional artistic standards are difficult to measure. The artist, theater maker and author Jan Fabre was born in 1958 in Antwerp. In the late seventies, he studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and at the Municipal Institute of Applied Arts in Antwerp. His first works date from this period. The work of Jan Fabre includes installations, sculptures, drawings, films and performances. Over the years, he has a remarkable oeuvre created and international recognition.
