Born in 1928 in Corning, California, studied Ralph Goings by the year 1953 at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland and to 1965 at the Sacramento State College, now California State University, in Sacramento. As a teacher, Ralph Goings 1955-1972 taught at various universities and institutes in California.
