Bergemann completed a business education from 1958 to 1960 and worked until 1965 in the profession. 1965 to 1967 she was the editor of the magazine "Das Magazin" active. In 1966 she began training as a photographer at Arno Fischer, with whom she is married since 1985. Since 1967, she was a member of the "Direct" freelance photographer. Since 1969, photos of her appeared in the weekly "Sunday", since 1973 in the fashion magazine "Sibylle (magazine)" and the "magazine". She worked for the publishing house The morning and the gripping Verlag. In 1974 she had her first solo exhibition in the House of Young Talents in Berlin .
