| (Profile only availible in german - translated by machine) The Berlin artist Sven Drühl (born 1968) plays in his paintings, both conceptually and ironically with the notion of imitation. Based on his idiosyncratic paintings are transformations of "classics" of art history: Landscape Painting of the Romantic or modern, for example by Casper David Friedrich, Claude Monet by Ferdinand Hodler, but also motifs of contemporary fellow artists serve it as a template.
