In my work I function like someone who takes notes or makes sketches or models as thoughts occur to him/her in order to help visualize something more clearly when dealing with art and other cultural phenomena. This way of observing through reflection has a specific purpose and is at the same time a kind of rummaging around in freely arising associations. It can manifest itself in various media: as a drawing or text, in a moving or still image, in processed materials and sculptural objects, in the construction of a spatial or contextual situation. The materialized results of this reading, collecting, and creating activity always contain a contemplative moment which lend them a status that is a mixture of assertion and query... „Conjointly, the means and forms of possibility engender spatial constellations. In contrast to the nar-rative approach prevalent in multi media installations, these configurations do not seek to devise a coherent spatial construction that surrounds, locks in, captures and overpowers the observer, in order to gain linear control over his/her body and exclusively engage his/her uninterrupted attention. Here, spatial perception is fragmented, leading from one moment of interruption to the next. The outcome is an arrangement of mental image spaces, interlocking in time and space through different, occasionally directly opposing structures.“
