Fischli & Weiss - Profile

The simple things in life like a child again, for the first time, with a great astonishment to see that is what the work of Peter Fischli and David Weiss for the viewer can be. The miracle of everyday life, the "trivial" questions of life and the beauty of things is the work of dedicated artists, which in 1979 joined together in Zurich, where they still live and work. The adventure of life and the discovery of our world are aware of us again if we follow them through their art and re-learn to see. As simple kitchen utensils without gluten to wobbly and delicate towers stacked sculptures and quickly photographed before it in the next instant collapse. A document of the eternal shaky moment - witness the change. Like her film "The Way Things Go", in which, like a domino chain, a series of moving up and other objects will always continue. A process of cause and effect. Without major staging is subject to the simple theme of the art, if the two objects in everyday polyurethane after carving. Our world is in an art world translated, so it resembles the illusion that we do not initially perceive. This art is missing the first of life and so we will start with a wink back to playing to see. © ArtLogistics
