Profile

EL SOURDOG HEX is a private art club with a seat in Berlin Mitte, Zimmerstraße 77.

The association showed a three-year exhibition cycle, in which a total of 19 artists of the 50s to the 90s were exhibited. This cycle was intended as a homage to the artists of this era. At the end of the exhibition cycle, the club will publish a catalogue portraying all exhibitions in a retrospective.

We started with an exhibition of artworks by George Brecht (sculptures, drawings and statements, 1959-1973). The name of the art club relates to a comprehensive exhibition of the same title by the important Fluxus artist George Brecht, 1973 in New York.

The exhibition cycle was continuously published in important international art magazines.

All exhibited artworks have been private loans.
