It is with some pride that we look back on an intense period of thirty years.

We established Galerie Friedrich in Bern in 1978. Our first premises were in Länggasse; we moved to Junkerngasse and later to Lorraine. In 2002 we found the perfect venue in Basel, which is why we left Bern. We have greatly enjoyed being in contact with you over the years, not least on the occasion of dozens of exhibitions and art fairs, and feel encouraged by your support.

Nonetheless, on the eve of the new art season, we feel it is time for us once more to adjust the activities of our gallery. We will shift our focus away from the gallery and exhibition programme, which we brought to its final conclusion with Robert Zandvliet's highly successful solo show this July.

We are planning to accompany and nurture artist projects, and will continue to cooperate with the artists we have represented, advising them and documenting their careers and works. Of course we will always be at the disposal of collectors, institutions and other interested parties, with whom we will be more than happy to share our expertise.
