James Barron has been a private art dealer and consultant since 1987, specializing in modern and contemporary American and European art. Trained as an art historian at Brown University, Barron has extensive experience in finding extraordinary works within diverse periods. Having worked at Knoedler Gallery, one of America's oldest and most distinguished galleries, and then at Jan Krugier Gallery , which works with the Marina Picasso Collection and important Modern art, Barron has a breadth of knowledge that extends from the early 20th century to today. He has sold works to some of the major collectors in today's art world, including works by Picasso, Matisse, Pollock, Diebenkorn, Warhol and some of today's leading contemporary artists.
