Profile

Jiri Svestka Gallery is the leading Czech private gallery promoting international Modern and Contemporary art in the Czech Republic and abroad, as well as introducing young Czech artists to the global audience.

Since its founding in 1995, the gallery has organised tens of exhibitions of the most significant and emerging international and Czech artists and has taken part in more than twenty international art fairs on regular basis.

In the summer of 2003, the gallery relocated from the historical Mozarteum building on Jungmannova Street to a converted factory space at Biskupsky dvur, where the layout is now divided over two levels: a 450 m2 exhibition space and a storage area adapted for private viewings.

In 2009 a second gallery space was opened in Berlin in Zimmerstrasse.
