Profile

As East Tennessee's premier visual arts institutions, we're eager to provide a satisfying online experience, whether you are planning a visit, curious about what the KMA offers, or looking for more information about a work you enjoyed when you were in the building. We are proud to present the surprisingly rich and diverse artistic heritage of East Tennessee--always on view--as well as a lively schedule of special exhibitions and related programs featuring artists of regional, national, and international reputation, and art classes and outreach programs for children and adults.

On our newly redesigned and upgraded website, you'll find extensive resources to enhance your visit (virtual or otherwise) and information about upcoming educational programs, live musical performances, museum events, and opportunities to meet up with friends and make new ones. You can make a donation or join our growing circle of members to enjoy special access, discounts, and invitations to members-only events.

If you're not from the area, let me encourage you to make the trip to meet us in person. Knoxville is the gateway to one of America's great natural playgrounds, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and offers a wealth of outdoor attractions and sophisticated cultural diversions.
