The Lothringer13, Städtische Kunsthalle Munich will allow for about 30 years ago by the Cultural Office of the City of Munich and has an international reputation for experimental contemporary art.

As Städtische Kunsthalle München offers Lothringer13 young artists, a production and presentation environment. Using large solo exhibitions can establish the protagonists of the national and international art world and connect with the Munich art scene and its many institutions of the contemporary art discourse.

In close cooperation with the / the respective artist, we develop a national and international guests and accompanying program. For each single exhibition a publication. On 1st Stock takes place alongside a monthly changing exhibition and event series. In the basement, see the label "under13" instead of local and international music performances. Biannual meetings are held thematic group exhibitions in order to facilitate exchanges and cooperation between international and Munich scenes. 2010 starts a series of world of young new music.

A dense web of official and semi-oficial exhibitions, events and publications produced, which gives a total production conditions and interests of young artists reflects and wants to improve this.

The Lothringer13 is is 100 percent free-for-profit and admission to all events. It is financed by grants from the City of Munich and by project-specific funds and donations.

Children are welcome in the exhibitions. Guided tours are held regularly.
