Profile

Founded in 1997 as Brito Cimino,Luciana Brito Gallery resurges in 2009 as the result of the endeavor to promote and disseminate Brazilian contemporary art in which Luciana Brito has been engaged for over twenty years.

Believing in the autonomy of creative processes, the gallery prioritizes partnership and a shared effort with the artists, allowing us to concretize such important projects as monographic publications and exhibitions, whether at our own premises or at institutional venues.

With an architectonic space of roughly 900m2,the gallery has two large, interconnected, but independent exhibition halls, which means we can hold larger, roomier exhibitions, or simultaneous shows of a more intimate nature.

Luciana Brito Gallery currently represents upwards of 20 Brazilian and foreign artists, holding approximately 10 exhibitions per year, as well as courses and lectures, as part of an ongoing effort to showcase contemporary artistic production and its tendencies and poetics.
