Profile
Guido Guastalla opened his first art gallery in 1966 in Livorno, where his grandfather, Guido Belforte had inaugurated the Bottega d'Arte, one of the first galleries in Italy, in 1922.
Along with his brother Giorgio he has worked with artists such as Marino Marini, Guttuso, Manzù and Gentilini, while he has published catalogues raisonnés in the Graphis Arte series on Marini, Modigliani, Mirò and Campigli.
In 1992 his son and daughter Ettore and Silvia, together with Guido, opened the Studio Guastalla Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Milan, which concentrates on twentieth century art as well as working with contemporary artists such as Emilio Tadini, Piero Gilardi , Emilio Isgrò, Giorgio Griffa and Maria Mulas.
The gallery can be found in the centre of Milan, close to the fashion district, and is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm, or may be visited on appointment.
