Foundation

In 1991, Ursula Blickle established a foundation in the Baden region near Karlsruhe. The foundation is devoted to the promotion of comtemporary art. Four exhibitions are presented annually under the management of Ursula Blickle. The exhibitions in 2009 were group exhibitions presenting innovative and current topics of contemporary art. Visitors of exhibitions of the Ursula Blickle Foundation gain a multi-faceted insight into the international art scene. Generally recognized and established artists are presented as well as young artists whose work is exhibited in the major art galleries.
Four artists are presented this year in the rooms of a former oil mill renovated for exhibition purposes. It is the first single exhibition in Germany for all of the four artists.
The foundation committee comprises Peter Weiermair , Gerald Matt and Nicolaus Schafhausen . Guided tours, lectures as well as discussions and special events are offered to supplement the program.
