Gallery Michael Schultz was founded in 1986. An important aspect has always been the discovery and promotion of young artists, such as Cornelia Schleime , SEO , Römer + Römer , Jan Muche , Maik Wolf and Sven Drühl , who have by now also won international recognition. The gallery focuses on figurative painting, but excursions in other fields like sculpture or installations reflect the diversity of contemporary art.

In order to continue this development, schultz contemporary was opened in October 2005 - a second space of Gallery Michael Schultz in Berlin , which exclusively presents younger, unseen positions. With the foundation of galleries in Seoul and Beijing a lively exchange of German and young Asian Art was initiated. This and the participation in fairs and museum exhibitions worldwide led to an even intensified integration into the international art scene.
