Even on the Vogel auction on June, 1th, 2010 at the Kunsthaus Lempertz in Cologne a Schlitten (sled) by Joseph Beuys was sold for amazing 297,000 euros, including auction fees and taxes. After all, this multiple has been published in an edition of 50 copies in 1969 by Edition Block. And the last sled previously sold in an auction has brought at Sotheby's London in 2006 only 70 000 €.
On the world's leading Art 41 Basel (16.-22.6.2010) an example now has been sold by Luhring Augustine, New York for $ 450,000, in accordance with 366 000 €. This represents a fantastic value increase of 51% per year.
