Following the huge public response to the termination of 31 March 2011 has made the new owner of Postfuhramt, Mr Sharon Elad Tshuva, C / O Berlin an offer for an extension until 31.12.2011.
The offer provides for a move within the building while reducing the exhibition space, for example the main entrance could no longer be used. C / O Berlin has examined this possibility carefully. The costs, including revenue loss during the renovation and relocation phase will amount to up to 600,000 €. Given the remaining usage period of approximately seven months to the end of 2011 this is for C / O Berlin, unfortunately not a realistic option.
C / O Berlin will still negotiate an extension of the lease 31st December 2011 in the existing areas and hopes for the cooperation of the owner.
