In September Düsseldorf, the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, once again celebrates itself as art metropolis. Ten exhibition halls present under the title "Kunstgegenwärtig" solo shows of established artists such as Joseph Beuys, Marcel Broodthaers, Nam June Paik James Lee Byars and Björn Dahlem and large-scale group exhibitions over the Becher school for example or the art production in Düsseldorf during the 80s.
The celebrations start not accidentally with the DC Open 2010.
