Ackermann is a perpetual tourist: his works are reminiscent of souvenirs and postcards from surreal destinations. From bold colors and silhouette-like formations arise between dynamic spatial experience and good flatness ornament iridescent images. The most important moment of experience and reflection central object in Ackermanns work is traveling. His large oil paintings are not images, but also condense into suggestive shapes and bright colors really fragments, associations and imagined to be a fascinating kaleidoscope.
