The oeuvre of the German filmmaker Harun Farocki includes now at the 90-agitation and "educational" films, essay films and documentaries. His exhibition at the Factory at the Museum of Modern Art Ludwig Foundation Vienna combines the initial presentation of the film installation on a third compared with a reinstall of the video trilogy Eye / Machine. In the video installations Eye / Machine I, II, III (2000-2003) Farocki deals with the possibilities of "intelligent" vision. He questioned image recognition method, originally developed for military purposes, and today to help ensure that machines in the civilian sector to operate without human intervention. To illustrate this link between the disappearance of the hand and the elimination of the eye work Farocki uses recordings from research, from film archives and advertising departments, which he in many ways, and each refers compares.
