| John Baldessari has been since the early 1960s through his video works, collages and photo montages and text appropriates a distinctive style. Like many conceptual artists of his generation focused on the dismantling of a modernist idea of autonomous art. The portico of the newly developed Project Eden: Adam and Eve (with Ear and Nose) Plus Serpent, it is clear from previous work indicate that the motives already nose and ears as picture elements were used. Each of the side walls of the portico shows a highly magnified section of a head - a female and a male. The two eyes and ears are relief from the wall and pointed at the wall surface enrolled. They are used as sculptural and photographic elements simultaneously treated. The front shows a great oversized black and white photo of a snake, which a person is detained. John Baldessari (born in 1931 in National City) lives and works in Santa Monica, CA. He is currently Professor of Fine Arts at the University of California, Los Angeles and has until 1990 at the California Institute of Arts in Valencia, California, generations of artists informed.
