| In Voice Over Nevin Aladag directed her gaze again to young people of Turkish origin in Germany an traces their sometime intricate path of cultural integration. The recently resulting film consists of three distinct parts: a sort of prologue and two equally weighted parts, which alternate each other several times. Vierzehnminuetige The video begins with a car: An anonymous hand stretches a harmonica from the moving car, one hears the sounds, the wind coaxed the instrument. There follows a host of young German-Turks, the Turkish folk songs in the glow of uneven Night Shots sing. Cut: rain crackles on a drum. For Voice Over Aladag has consistently waived on technical effects, the intervention is minimal, and is solely geared to the attention of the viewer to almost meditative mood einzupendeln. The sequences of the drums are set up as still lifes, the inclusion of the singer draws attention to their facial expression, by the setting almost completely hide. Is shown in both cases, a metaphorically similar process: How are the instruments of natural influences adolescents in vibration.
