| Several identical pin-ups to play tennis. At least the paper, on the cool Fine bleistiftgezeichneten collaged are the geometric division of a tennis court. And the cut-out paper ladies act strongly with the bat. Or pose them? A little reminiscent of Anziehpüppchen to cut, with those little girls played before Barbie came. Female Role Models, they are all appropriate, as a sexy pin-ups in the Dress-athletes as well as a cool, energetic women. The questioning of women's roles is the predominant theme in the work of Rita Ackermann. Just as diverse as its many interpretive levels of meaning and overlap and artistic analysis Ackermanns as onion skins Fanning, their work in the formal and material sense layers work: mixed media, such as Ackermann and designated printed paper, plastic, oil painting, acrylic, adhesive tape, and even light (as in her installation of mixed media work "Toast for No Fear" in the ZKM Karlsruhe, 2007). And they used them individually virtuosically for themselves, in their flickering, surreal pen and masterly pencil drawings and oil paintings, so much to shape how their multiple, archetypal protagonists: a nun, witch, whore, saint, girl ...
