During the past 18 years, Thomas Struth's Museum pictures the relationship between the viewer and the artwork, retrospectively. The crowds at the Prado Series of photographs show a variety of different ways of seeing and viewing, as well as a recent phenomenon, the hearing. "[Struth] work documented by formal means (which in turn strictly aesthetic / conceptual models have) conditions, as they are now all over the world to see. Struth analyzed the present with a very subtle sense of what is considered valuable and worthwhile to note, in order to consider the facts and to compel the eye, using the normal 1nehmen go.
