Société Realiste: Badge at 450 Euro

The Parisian artist duo Société Réaliste has launched a successful career in the international art world. In addition to important group exhibitions, especially the solo show at the prestigious Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume in Paris (1.3.-05.08.2011) has to be mentioned. The work "My comfort" is derived from a precursor of this exhibition, shown in Munich before  in the PLATFORM3. A variant of the badge was offered at last year Fiac in Paris for 1000 €.

Cyprien Gaillard showered with prizes

Cyprien Gaillard (French, b. Paris, 1980), the highly respected video artist, has awarded this year's Prix Marcel Duchamp at FIAC in Paris on 23 October. On invitation by Adiaf (Association for the International Diffusion of French Art) and Centre Pompidou, Gaillard will have a solo exhibition at the Centre Pompidou, Paris in September 2011.

Not long before he was awarded the Karl-Ströher-Preis 2010. The prize was presented in Frankfurt on 21 October coinciding with Gaillard's solo exhibition at Museum für Moderne Kunst (MMK) in Frankfurt.

Karl-Ströher-Price goes to Cyprien Gaillard

The with 20 000 € donated Karl Ströher price will be presented on 21 October at 19 clock at the MMK Museum of Modern Art. The Winner is the French artist Cyprien Gaillard, whose exhibition is currently on show at MMK Zollamt.

Berlin, October 8, 2010 – The prize for “Best Stand” in the sector focus goes to Galerie Lüttgenmeijer of Berlin. The gallery was chosen by an independent jury – consisting of Ariane Beyn, Artistic Director of the DAAD artists’ programme, Berlin; Axel Haubrok, collector, Berlin, and Holger Liebs, Chief Editor Monopol, Berlin. The jury gave the reasons for their selection as follows: “With the double presentation of the work of David Jablonowski and Erica Baum, the Berlin-based gallery Lüttgenmeijer has created a minimalist and convincing space.

7. Berlin Biennale: Artur Żmijewski appointed curator

KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin is pleased to announce that Artur Żmijewski has been appointed curator of the 7th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art.
The 7th Berlin Biennale will take place in early 2012.
